Presents the results of applying Beacon Pathway’s medium density assessment tools to four CORT community housing developments (McLennan, Hokonui, Princes Street, Scott Point).
Each development has its own pros and cons, and aspects that work well or could be improved upon. Some of these aspects are a direct result of the planning and design and some are external and related to the neighbourhood, connectivity around Auckland, and the local natural and built environment. Therefore, each development is a stand-alone case study from which, in the context of its surroundings, lessons can be drawn from not only the scores but also the qualitative feedback from residents.
