Advanced Framing Solutions Workshop

This workshop follows on from research undertaken by Beacon which found that timber framing forms, on average, over 34% of a wall. This is much higher than the 14% – 18% framing content generally assumed by both regulators and the industry.

The more timber framing, the less insulation – and the poorer the thermal performance.

This workshop focuses on exploring pragmatic and buildable framing solutions for New Zealand which result in a radical improvement to the thermal envelope.
