Breathe: Project management

Technical support was provided through several small technical teams who took responsibility to assess the preferred schemes from the position of their expertise (e.g. transport, sustainability, financial viability)
Actions at the meetings were clearly highlighted and followed up to check delivery at each subsequent meeting.
Where possible, the competition steering group sought representatives with decision making powers from the stakeholder organisations. That way, when key decisions had to be made at meetings, there was less time lost with people needing to go back to head office to ask permission or confirm arrangements.
